Omaha Zoo lights up for the Christmas season with 'Zoolightful' event
Omaha’s zoo is ready for the holiday season.
OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha’s zoo is ready for the holiday season.
Zoolightful is back for its second year at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.
The entire zoo is illuminated with Christmas lights, families can rent an igloo and there are themed activities ranging from a reindeer game zone to a gingerbread village.
There are seven immersive lands and families can even rent an igloo.
Communications Manager Jacey Kallsen said it’s a great opportunity for familes to have fun.
“Any opportunity that we have to welcome guests into the zoo is another opportunity for them to experience animals and engage with animals and hopefully learn a little bit about them, “ said Kallsen.
This year, the zoo added a snowball toss and animal sculptures that are lit up throughout the visitor pathway.
The event is after zoo hours. It starts Friday, November 22nd and goes through the December 30th. There is an admission fee for the event.
