OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - 2024 was a very eventful year for Eppley Airfield.

In a statement released Tuesday, Eppley says that 2024 was their busiest year on record, serving over 5.2 million passengers in the past calendar year.

The number hit in 2024 surpasses the previous record of just over 5 million in 2018 by over 200,000 passengers. It’s also a 5% increase from 2023, according to the statement.

This all comes in a year when the Airfield is undergoing many renovations, including improvements to the terminal and a revamp of the terminal’s dining options.

“Our record 2024 activity is a testament to the growing community and strong economy that we are fortunate to have here in Omaha. In 2023, we exceeded pre-pandemic activity levels and now, in 2024, we have set a new all-time annual record of passenger activity. We would like to thank our passengers for their increased interest in travel and we appreciate the support of our airlines and their investment in Omaha. The growth in passenger activity underscores the basis for our demand-driven Terminal Modernization Program. While the terminal may be busier than ever, Eppley Airfield is committed to providing premier customer service and airport facilities to accommodate growth.”
