Overnight trailer fire disrupts travel on portion of I-80 in Cheyenne County
Fire crews responded just before 3 a.m. to a semi-trailer blaze on I-80 near Lodgepole. No injuries.

SIDNEY — An early morning fire damaged a semi-trailer along Interstate 80 in Cheyenne County early Sunday, prompting a response from the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched at approximately 2:35 a.m. to mile-marker 77, just west of the Lodgepole exit, where a semi-trailer was reported on fire. According to first responders, the driver indicated the blaze started in the trailer.
Photos from the scene show the tractor had been disconnected before sustaining damage. The fire was contained to the trailer, and no injuries were reported.
Litte Tornado Towing also responded to assist at the scene. Additional details, including the cause of the fire and contents of the trailer, have not been released.
