Reported ceiling fan fire quickly extinguished
Firefighters responded to a possible structure fire in the 1300 block of Osage Street today. A ceiling fan caught fire and was quickly extinguished.

SIDNEY -- Firefighters were dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 1300 block of Osage Street at 4:14 p.m. today.
An electric fan motor caught fire in an apartment, according to Fire Chief Matt Butts.
He said the resident was able to shut off the motor. Firefighters checked the apartment, and it was aired out of related smoke and odor.
No injuries were reported.
