Northeast Nebraska man faces federal gun charges in drug trafficking investigation

CREIGHTON, Neb. - Allegations of drug trafficking along with illegal guns brought federal agents to Knox County.
On June 3, ATF and NSP served the signed search warrant at the home of 23-year-old Samuel Rosberg. During the search of the residence in Creighton, ATF special agents located multiple firearms including three illegal weapons.
The firearms included two sawed-off shotguns and a rifle with a metal silencer.
A source told an investigator that Rosberg would come to Kearney three times a month to traffic cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana cartridges, and marijuana while being in possession of many firearms. The source compared Rosberg's living room wall to a gun store and claimed he owned a variety of automatic weapons.
Through a search, investigators found Rosberg possessed 23 firearms, scales, baggies, and a small bag of methamphetamine.
The maximum possible penalty if convicted is not more than 10 years imprisonment, a $10,000 fine, a term of supervised release of not more than 3 years, and a $100 special assessment.
At this point, he has only been charged with offenses pertaining to illegal firearms.
