LINCOLN, Neb. - Lincoln Lutheran High School is taking steps to better their fitness and wellness program.

On Wednesday afternoon, Lincoln Lutheran broke ground on their new Warrior Wellness Center, an 11,200 square foot workout facility.

Lincoln Lutheran Chief Advancement Officer Dan Masters says the wellness center serves as a key component of Lincoln Lutheran's Warrior Wellness Initiative, a comprehensive program dedicated to supporting the health of students through mind, body and spirit.

"What began as a vision to create more weight room space, has transformed into a state-of-the-art facility," Masters said. "This works right into what Lincoln Lutheran is accomplishing through the Warrior Wellness Initiative, working the mind, body, and spirit everyday."

Schwisow Construction is taking on the project and Masters says donors have helped raise over 70% of the cost for flooring, equipment, and furnishings.
