OGALLALA, Neb. - McCook went 2-0 and Sidney finished 1-1 at the Ogallala Wrestling Dual Triangular on Tuesday, Dec. 30.

McCook opened the triangular with a 48-35 win over Sidney. The Bison secured victories through the middle of the lineup, including falls by Justin Chancellor at 126 pounds, Alec Osborne at 132, Kolbe Foster at 138 and Tristan Campbell at 150. Sidney countered with pins from Kollin Roggasch at 113, Ethan Hanes at 175, Cayson Boltjes at 215 and Joseph Johnson at 285.

Sidney rebounded in its second dual, defeating host Ogallala 48-35. The Red Raiders picked up falls from Kaine Hill at 120, Gage Gray at 132, Hayden Sittner at 144, Matthew Corne at 175 and John Jordan at 106. 

Ogallala finished the triangular with an 0-2 record after falling 60-18 to McCook in the final dual. McCook dominated the matchup with wins in 10 of the 14 weights, including quick falls by Osborne, Chancellor, John White and Gabe Roberts. Ogallala’s points came from pins by Diego Juarez at 113, Zaiden Peterson at 138 and Ryder Rezac at 157.

Sidney girls drop two duals at Ogallala Triangular

OGALLALA, Neb. - The Sidney High School girls wrestling team came up short in both of its duals Tuesday night at the Ogallala Wrestling Dual Triangular, dropping matches to McCook and Ogallala.

Sidney opened the day with a 30-18 loss to McCook. Ravyn Lee earned a win at 110 pounds with a pin over Izzie Longberry, while Rene Grumbianin added another victory with a quick fall at 130 pounds. McCook secured wins at 125, 145, 155, 190 and 100 pounds to pull away.

In the second dual, Sidney fell 48-6 to Ogallala. The Indians claimed wins in nine weight classes, including falls at 110, 125, 130 and 135 pounds. 

Ogallala later defeated McCook 36-24 to finish the triangular with two wins.
