Menke leads Bridgeport at NSAA Class B4 Girls District Meet; Bayard sends qualifier
Elizabeth Menke won a district title and Cammie Rader added a third-place finish as Bridgeport placed ninth at the NSAA B4 girls district meet. Bayard’s Maliyah Olsen qualified for state.

OGALLALA, Neb. — A district championship from Elizabeth Menke at 115 pounds led Bridgeport to 47 points and a ninth place finish as a team at the girls 2026 NSAA Class B4 District Wrestling Meet in Ogallala on Saturday.
Menke, a sophomore, claimed first place with an 8-0 major decision over Adams Central’s Khloe Wiseman in the finals, improving her record to 43-2. She was the Bulldogs’ lone district champion.
Cammie Rader added another state-qualifying finish for Bridgeport at 140 pounds. Rader placed third after pinning Gordon-Rushville’s Stormy Tesch in 4:04, ending the tournament with a 42-5 record.
Bayard was represented on the podium by freshman Maliyah Olsen at 235 pounds. Olsen placed fourth after falling 7-5 by decision to Valentine’s Addie Sexson in the third-place match. Olsen’s finish secured a state berth despite the loss.
Adams Central won the team title with 261 points, followed by Fort Calhoun and Valentine. Chadron placed fifth, while Hemingford finished 10th.
Sidney didn't have any state qualifiers.
State qualifiers from the B4 district will advance to the NSAA Girls State Wrestling Championships Feb. 17-18 at CHI Health Center in Omaha.
Gering Places Fourth at Class A4 District
GERING, Neb. — Gering, Scottsbluff and Alliance each sent state qualifiers on from the 2026 NSAA Class A4 District Girls Wrestling Meet held Saturday at Gering High School.
Gering finished fourth in the team standings with 114.5 points, led by five wrestlers earning podium finishes. Rileigh Dane placed second at 100 pounds, while Rylee Luce (110), Kaydence McKee (120) and Meredith Zlomke (125) each finished as district runners-up. Autumn Hahn added a third-place finish at 115 pounds to round out Gering’s qualifiers.
Scottsbluff placed eighth as a team with 71 points and was highlighted by a district championship from Jazmyn Garcia at 190 pounds. Garcia, a junior, claimed the title with a 5-0 decision over Columbus’ Gracie Trejo. Marcela Colin added a third-place finish for the Bearcats at 145 pounds.
Alliance finished 11th with 52 points and qualified two wrestlers for state. Aiva Raymer earned a third-place finish at 135 pounds with a quick fall, while freshman Charlize Dorenbach placed fourth at 170 pounds.
Kearney won the team title with 200 points, followed by Grand Island and York.
