The Well celebrates 35 years of service with new crisis response location
The Well, a comprehensive care provider in Norfolk, marked its 35th anniversary by opening a new location to house its vital crisis response team, offering expanded services for those in need
Norfolk, Neb. - From humble beginnings as a small halfway house in 1991, The Well has blossomed into a comprehensive network of residential, outpatient, crisis, and community-based services in Norfolk.
For 35 years, The Well has been dedicated to providing trauma-informed care, ensuring compassionate support for those who need it most.
Marking 35 years of unwavering service, The Well celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location, now home to their vital crisis response team.
“Primarily, our crisis response team works out of this location here at Future Parks,” said The Well Executive Director Donny Larson.
"So, if there's any sort of emergency during the day, or after hours, this is where our team works. If it is after hours, it’s by phone, and we have a team go onsite with whoever is seeking help.” Otherwise, The Well, located at 1800 W. Pasewalk Ave., is accessible during regular weekdays for anyone to stop in with whatever needs they have.
If you or someone you know needs help during a physical or mental crisis, The Well has locations in Norfolk, Columbus, and West Point. You can call their main number at 402-371-0220, and the crisis response number at 888-370-7003.
If you call the main number and receive an automated recording, you have the option to select, “I AM IN A CRISIS,” and it will take you to the crisis response line for help.
