LINCOLN — Lincoln Southwest surged late to take down Omaha Westside 66-63 on Friday in the Class A state semifinals.

The win puts the #4 Silverhawks in the state title game for the first time since 2009. That’s also the last time a Lincoln team played in a Class A championship game.

#1 Westside led for most of the second half and owned a 56-49 lead with 5:40 left in the game. Southwest closed on a 17-7 run to secure the win. Dakari Wilson scored the final eight points for the Silverhawks.

Omaha Westside’s season ends with a 24-5 record.
