Some good Covid news and not-so-good Covid news from the Metro today.

First the good news.

Gov. Pete Ricketts announcing that more patient services are back on track at the Nebraska Medical Center.

Starting Monday morning the Med Center will put its latest crisis standard of care and Directed Health Measure behind it, opening up pre-scheduled, non-emergency surgeries.

That DHM was put in effect January 13 as virus cases spiked in and around Omaha.

At the same time C-H-I Health tells us it is still seeing immunocompromised individuals who are not getting the needed doses of vaccine and winding up in their hospitals.
