As Gov. Pete Ricketts' likely last legislative session winds down, a new poll finds Ricketts underwater in Nebraska; numbers the governor is quick to dismiss.

The poll, requested by ACLU Nebraska, finds Ricketts' favorability numbers struggling: 50 percent have an unfavorable view of the two-term Republican who is term limited and unable to run for reelection this year. 46 percent give him favorable marks.

“The ACLU is a radical left-wing organization with a clear agenda, and I wouldn’t trust their poll," Ricketts tells News Channel Nebraska.

At the same time, the poll finds President Joe Biden with an unfavorable label.

Biden's unfavorable mark sits at 61 percent, favorable 36 percent.

The Nebraska Legislature falls between Biden and Ricketts: 42 percent have a favorable view of the Legislature, 41 percent unfavorable.

This was the same poll noted by News Channel Nebraska last week which said Nebraskans oppose an abortion ban by a mark of 55 percent to 40 percent.
