Three years after historic floods rocked Nebraska, challenges remain.

And are made more complicated by a 2-year pandemic, according to the University of Nebraska, which also says recovery is far from over.

NU promoting several on-going programs including those aimed at curbing mental health concerns, preparing farmers for bad weather along with 4-H and reading programs for kids.

NU student Emily Frenzen’s farm was flooded in 2019, a few days later she spoke with her dad and produced a video detailing the experience through his eyes.

Nebraska extension offices across the state are working with volunteer groups to work through plans for future disasters.
