With largely conservative voices arguing to move money from public schools into private schools—AKA school choice— the teachers union is fighting back with a new ad campaign.

The Nebraska State Education Association launching a series of videos promoting public school teachers influencing the lives of several Nebraskans.

It’s part of a statewide push known as “Public School Proud.”

We’re told the emphasis is on racial and social justice, through the eyes of individual success stories featuring the following:

• Iggy Machuca of Norfolk, Owner of I&P Construction
• Mindy Diller of Lincoln, Family and Consumer Science Teacher
• Cammy Watkins of Omaha, Co-Executive Director at Inclusive Communities
• Joseline Reyna of Grand Island, YWCA Advocate for Civic Engagement
• Tracy Hartman-Bradley of Omaha, Native American Specialist for Omaha Public Schools

Money behind the ad campaign comes from the National Education Association.
