Republican State Sen. Mike Moser, getting the nod over fellow Republican Tom Brandt and Democrat Wendy DeBoer.
Moser, current vice-chair of the committee, noting internet dead zones in the state where you might least expect them.
"Broadband and cell access even in [the State Capitol] needs some work," said the former mayor of Columbus.
