The mother of a missing Sarpy County boy is suing the school district over her son's disappearance.

11-year-old Ryan Larsen, who is autistic, was last seen leaving his La Vista elementary school on May 17th, 2021.

Now, almost two years to the day, Tammi Larson is accusing the Papillion-La Vista school district of "outrageous and utterly intolerable" behavior, watching her son "walk out of the school building without attempting to stop or retrieve him."

The federal lawsuit, which does not note a specific dollar amount in damages, says Tammi Larson suffers from emotional trauma and distress wondering what "horrors have befallen her disabled child."

From day one Papillion-La Vista has said it will support the Larson family.
