PERU, Neb.—On Thursday, May 25, the NAIA National Office announced its Daktronics NAIA  Scholar-Athletes for baseball. Six Bobcat baseball players were named scholar-athletes. 

The six baseball players receiving the honor were Blake Denson (Broken Bow), Brenton Pitt  (Fremont), Bryan Vega (Cayey, P.R.), Diego Rivera (Carolina, P.R.), Johnathan Santiago (San  Lorenzo, P.R.) and Luis Pachecho (Miami, Fla.) 

"In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the  eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution," according  to the NAIA's press release.
