WILBER, Neb. -- A child pornography conviction led to prison time for a former Wilber man.

Acting U.S. Attorney Susan Lehr said 65-year-old Kenneth Brinton, formerly of Wilber, was sentenced in Lincoln on Friday. He was convicted for one count of possession of child pornography. Brinton will serve 156 months in prison with 13 years of supervised release after. There is no parole in the federal system.

According to court documents, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office was informed that Brinton was arrested by the Beatrice Police Department for sexual assault of a child, child enticement, and additional charges regarding a minor. A search warrant was used and officers found several videos of child pornography on Brinton’s computer.

Officials said there were 57 videos and eight images of child pornography found on Brinton’s electronic storage devices. Some of the files had minor females in the bathroom of Brinton’s home. Brinton appeared in many of the videos as he turned on and off the camera before the minor would enter to use the bathroom. During the investigation he admitted to recording and saving these videos.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
