Gas prices in and around Omaha are down, some stations as low as $3.24 a gallon and that’s a good 50 cents less than a month ago.

And the drop comes despite global gas prices jumping up 4 percent since Hamas attacked Israel on Saturday.

According to Triple A, the average price of regular gas in the Metro is $3.42 a gallon, down from $3.50 last week and $3.82 a month ago.

Some experts are expecting more price drops over the next 15-45 days but are concerned that a prolonged Israeli war would send prices back up.
