OMAHA - A two-decade staple of the spooky season in Nebraska is hanging up its chainsaws and hockey masks.

The Shadow's Edge haunted house in Omaha is closing after the 2023 season.

The attraction at Westgate Plaza announced this past spring that they are shutting down after 20 years.

The multi-scene, immersive experience has been owned and operated by Scott Murphy since its beginning.

Its final season got off to an auspicious start, as a driver crashed a car into the building at the beginning of October, damaging the haunted house's sprinkler system.
