Seven Chadron State Football Players were named to the 2023 All-Conference First or Second Teams, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Thursday. 
 
            First Team members included Defensive Linemen Hunter O'Connor a junior of Broomfield, Colorado and Tanner True a junior of Eaton, Colorado. Wide Receiver Tommy Thomas a sophomore of Fort Collins, Colorado and Offensive Lineman Michael DeCamillis a senior of Westminster, Colorado. 
 
            O'Connor and True combined for 89 total tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss including 11.5 sacks, 11 quarterback hurries, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. O'Connor is making his second appearance on the first team list after combining with teammate Tayven Bray to put up similar marks last year. This is True's first time on the first team list.
 
            Thomas who led the Eagles offensively with a team high 10 touchdowns, continued to improve after having a breakout freshman season last year. Catching 56 passes for 931 yards and tallying 1 rushing touchdown. He is also a vital member of CSC's special teams with 15 punt returns for 128 yards this season. 
 
            DeCamillis who started all 11 games this season at center, helping the Eagles' offense average more than 130 yards per game rushing, ranking Chadron State 7th in the conference for rushing. DeCamillis who was a five-year starter including the covid year has been a consistent piece of the offense. 
 
            On Second team, special teams led the way with punter/holder Brodie Eisenbraun of Sturgis, S.D. and kicker Wilson Yee of Littleton, Colo. Tight End Peter Krohn of Fort Collins, Colorado was the lone offensive Eagle on Second Team. Eisenbraun averaged 41 yards per punt this season on 57 punts. He also had a touchdown against Colorado School of Mines. Yee broke the school record this year for longest field goal at 61 yards breaking Gunnar Jones record tying kick from last season. He went 10-15 on field goals and was 2-4 from 50+ yards. Krohn had another good season this year catching 19 passes for 176 yards and 4 touchdowns.
 
            In addition to First and Second Team awards, Chadron State's defense had 3 placed on the honorable mention list. Linebackers Joey Geil senior of Casper, Wyoming, Xavier Harrell junior of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and safety Dax Yeradi junior of Wright, Wyoming. Geil and Harrell were CSC's 1 and 2 tacklers with a combined 136 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss including 4.5 sacks, 1 interception, 4 quarterback hurries, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. Yeradi ended the season with 53 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 1 forced fumble. 
 
RMAC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Year went to John Matocha, Nolan Reeve and Blake Doud of Colorado School of Mines. RMAC Offensive and Defensive Freshman of the Year was awarded to Senon Chapple and Gary Seidenberger of CSU Pueblo. Jas Bains of Western Colorado was the RMAC Coach of the Year.
