Ponca rides huge 4th quarter to second straight win
PONCA - The Ponca boys' basketball team found another gear in the fourth quarter on Friday, outscoring Wayne by 15 in the final quarter of their 54-43 win.
The Indians book-ended the game with strong quarters, as they opened a 17-8 lead after one.
But the middle of the game belonged to the Blue Devils, who used their zone defense to force turnovers as they outscored Ponca 28-15 over the middle two quarters.
But the Indians came out a house of fire in the final frame, opening the quarter on an 11-0 run and never looking back.
The win ended a personal three-game losing streak to the Blue Devils for Ponca.
