Nebraska State Sen. Carol Blood is apparently running for Congress, poised to take on incumbent Republican Congressman Mike Flood in the First Congressional District.
I'm Joe Jordan reporting for News Channel Nebraska.
A Blood campaign for the House would come just two years after she ran statewide for governor losing in a landslide to Republican Jim Pillen.
She is a two term, term-limited State Senator, a Democrat from Bellevue.
Blood has a website up and running that talks about “new blood” in the First Congressional District.
The website does not mention Mike Flood by name, and it appears that Carol Blood is going to make her official campaign announcement this weekend.
So apparently, it's going to be Flood versus Blood for Congress.
