OMAHA, Neb. -- Nebraska players make an impact both on and off the field, and some student athletes made the trip to Children's Nebraska in Omaha to make their days.

Patients and families at the hospital met with players and some of the coaching staff Wednesday afternoon.

The Huskers joined the patients in a day of crafts, games, and made visits to inpatient rooms at the campus hospital.

Junior Wide Receiver Elliott Brown said he learned life lessons in the time he talked with the kids.

“Make an impact like I can being a Husker football player,” Brown said. “It’s the thing I think God put me on this earth to do is to come out here and make an impact with what he’s given me. I think they’ve impacted me more today than I have for any of them.”

The Huskers visited the kids for over an hour.
