COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The No. 2 Nebraska volleyball team secured a share of the Big Ten title Saturday night with a 3-1 win (25-27, 25-14, 25-8, 25-12) over Maryland in front of a Maryland program-record crowd of 13,071 in College Park.

The Huskers (29-2, 19-1 Big Ten) finished tied atop the conference standings with Penn State to claim their second consecutive Big Ten title and the program’s 36th conference championship overall. It also marked Nebraska’s fifth title since joining the Big Ten in 2011.

After a sluggish first set, Nebraska dominated the remaining three sets, surrendering just one rally lead. The Huskers posted a season-high 20 blocks—matching their best since 2006—while limiting Maryland (14-17, 5-15) to a -.059 hitting percentage, the lowest by a Big Ten opponent since 2022.

Merritt Beason shined with 19 kills and a career-high 10 blocks, hitting .471. Harper Murray contributed 12 kills and two aces, while Rebekah Allick added six kills and 11 blocks. Bergen Reilly notched a double-double with 43 assists and 14 digs, while Lexi Rodriguez added 14 digs. Freshman Olivia Mauch delivered a career-high four aces.

The Huskers turn their focus to the NCAA Tournament. The selection show airs Sunday at 5 p.m. CT on ESPN. Nebraska, seeking its sixth national championship, is expected to secure a high seed.
