KIMBALL — Kimball’s Kyler Lusche put on a dominant performance Thursday at Four Winds Golf Course, carding a 69 to take home individual honors at both the Kimball Invitational and the Western Trails Conference Tournament.

Lusche's stellar round paced the field, finishing six strokes ahead of Chase County’s Zac Anderson (75) and nine ahead of a tie between Scottsbluff’s Cole Dedic and Hemingford’s Jacob Bryner (78). Gavin Wisnieski of Chase County rounded out the top five in the Kimball Invite with a 79.

In Western Trails Conference scoring, Lusche led the way once again, with Bryner (78), Connor Cochran of Bayard (83), and Bridgeport’s Nik Weibert (83) following. Bridgeport also placed two more golfers in the top ten with Hayes Watts (84) and Gage Nein (87).

Rounding out the WTC leaderboard were Mitchell’s Clayton Schultz (86), Hemingford’s Owen Plog (88) and both Bridgeport’s Kaden Shultz and Kimball’s Kaymen Lusche finishing with rounds of 90.

The Bulldogs won the WTC team crown followed by the Longhorns.
