Car strikes mountain lion in Washington County
Nebraska Game and Parks collected the fallen animal near County Road 15 and County Road 26.

BLAIR, Neb. -- It wasn't an everyday sight for the Washington County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
A car struck a mountain lion near County Road 15 and County Road 26, killing the mountain lion.
There is no word yet from officials on any damage to the car or human injuries.
Nebraska Game and Parks collected the fallen mountain lion.
While the Washington County Sheriff's Office said it's the first known case of a car striking a mountain lion in their community, mountain lion sightings have been more common across Nebraska in recent weeks, with confirmed sightings in Norfolk and Cass County.
