Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck at intersection

OMAHA, Neb. -- Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near a busy northwest Omaha intersection.

Omaha police were keeping commuters away from the area around 108th and Maple Streets after the pedestrian was struck there on Wednesday.

An OPD dispatcher confirmed that a pedestrian was hit near the intersection around 4:30 p.m. One person was transported from the scene to a local hospital in critical condition.
