With his eight years in Lincoln almost behind him, Gov. Pete Ricketts still has folks wondering what’s next.

Earlier this year News Channel Nebraska asked Ricketts if he planned to run for the White House in 2024, but he wouldn’t say yes or no.

This week he told reporters that he is focused on his final four months in office, along with the transition to the next governor following the November election.

Ricketts has said he wants to stay involved in politics and policy, but has ruled out a possible run for the Senate in 2024 against Deb Fischer, who has said she is running for a third term.
