Lincoln Police investigating crash that killed one

A crash that occurred Friday night killed one man in Lincoln.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A crash that occurred Friday night killed one man in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Police Department said officers were dispatched to the intersection of N 11th St. and Adams St. for a reported crash at 7:00 p.m. The crash involved a white pickup and a Suzuki motorcycle.

Officials said the pickup was traveling north across Adams from N 11th. The motorcycle was headed west on Adams and reportedly crashed into the rear passenger side of the pickup.

According to authorities, witnesses at the scene tried to help the 30-year-old motorcyclist before personnel with Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived. LFR transported him to a nearby hospital where he later died at.

LPD said they are not releasing the name of the victim at this time and extend their condolences to the victim's family and friends.
