BEATRICE – A southeast Nebraska city brought out thousands of people for an annual holiday event on Saturday.

The Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce and Gage County Tourism put on the Holiday Lighted parade in downtown Beatrice…..the ninth year for the Christmas season event. 

The theme of this year’s parade was “a Country Christmas” and there were 37 entries this year.

Cars, trucks, equipment and flatbed trailers were adorned with holiday lights, traveling north on Fifth Street to the Carnegie building, where afterward, kids could meet Santa Claus.
