Ballot finalized for Kimball 2026 Election

The final candidates have filed in Kimball’s 2026 election.

KIMBALL -- The final candidates have filed in Kimball’s 2026 election. 

Carinda McConnell has joined the race for County Clerk following the retirement of long-time County Clerk Cathy Sibal. 

Josi Morgan is also running for County Clerk. 

Darcee Wheeland has joined the race for Clerk of the District Court. She will be running against Jamie Bright and Joanna Hottell. 

Wheeland said in her announcement: “I am a qualified candidate for this position due to my knowledge and experience in the District Court. I am dedicated to the service of Kimball County.” 

Wheeland has worked in the Kimball County Veterans Office for the past 8 years. 

“I have and will always be approachable, compassionate and patient in my service to the community,” she said. My professionalism and integrity are key to the service of the constituents.” 

Two additional candidates have filed to run for city council – Robert Dunkin III and Keith Prunty. 

Other candidates running for city council are Aaron Abraham, Rob Buchart and Nicholas Barp. 

Two additional candidates have filed for the Kimball Airport Authority – 6-year term – Christy Warner and Robert Dunkin III. 

Incumbent Bobby Muench is also running.
